Hydrogen production presents several well-known challenges, from safety concerns to economic and operational inefficiencies. In the PH2OTOGEN project, we are rethinking traditional approaches to address these issues head-on.

Our recently launched social media campaign focuses on four critical themes: safety, economics, efficiency, and stability. These posts highlight how PH2OTOGEN’s innovative use of photocatalytic systems is paving the way for safer hydrogen production, introducing valuable by-products, reducing energy demands, and improving system durability.

For instance, we’re tackling risks associated with conventional methods by replacing oxygen production with the oxidation of glycerol to form valuable chemicals, making the process safer and more efficient.

Additionally, we’re demonstrating how creating two marketable products in parallel can improve the economic feasibility of green hydrogen technology.This campaign, live now on our LinkedIn and X channels, is complemented by a series exploring the work areas within PH2OTOGEN. Together, they provide a comprehensive look at how we’re pushing the boundaries of hydrogen production.
